Dr Haleh Kashani received her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology - Berkeley in 1998 and has been in practice as a licensed psychologist since 1990. She brings to her work an appreciation and respect for individual differences, as well as an understanding and mastery of an array of therapeutic techniques in treating specific problems. She has worked with with adults and adolescents facing a variety of life challenges and psychological conditions. She specializes in treatment of eating disorders and addictive disorders with expertise in a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches.
Dr Kashani has been in private practice in Marin County since 1990. She created and directed the Out-Patient Eating Disorder Program for adults and adolescents at Kaiser Permanente, San Rafael from 2000 to 2020.
She has been an active member of the professional community in the San Francisco North Bay area. Dr. Kashani has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Marin County Psychological Association in various position from 2008-2014 including Chair of Ethics Committee and Diversity Committee and was elected as the President of the Board in 2013. She is a current member of the California Psychological Association and Marin County Psychological Association.
Dr. Kashani is a co-founder of the Eating Disorders Recovery Support,Inc, (EDRS, Inc.) which she helped establish as a non-profit organization in 2008 dedicated to providing professional education and community prevention and fundraising. She served as the President on the Board of Directors and currently serves on the Advisory Board.
Additionally, Dr. Kashani provides clinical consultation, training and educational presentations to professionals and the public. She served as clinical supervisor and faculty at Kaiser Permanente - San Rafael, Post Doctoral APA Training Program from 1997-2020.
